Are Summit White Shaker cabinets hard to keep clean?

It’s true that white cabinets will show dirt easily, so you may have concerns about keeping them clean. However, the Sherwin Williams 5-Step Finish protects the wood very well and is quite easy to keep sparkling. Most contaminants wipe right off with water. Never use strong chemicals!

For daily cleaning, simply keep an eye out for any spills, spatters, or drips on your cabinets while you work in the kitchen, and wipe them up right away while they’re still wet. It’s not a disaster if they sit long enough to dry out, but they might take a little more scrubbing that way. Just use more water to loosen them up.

For general, ongoing cleaning and maintenance, simply wipe down the cabinet fronts every week or so with a damp cloth. This will pull away any dust before it becomes visible, and help you notice any small droplets or spills you might have missed during cooking.
