Crown molding is the most classic and sophisticated method to finish the tops of wall cabinets. It can be installed flush to the ceiling or with a gap (leaving an air soffit) depending on the desired look. Installing it flush to the ceiling creates an appealing transition between the surfaces, while a gap usually serves the purpose of allowing lighting over the wall cabinetry. Our Summit Craftman Java Shaker Crown Molding is the perfect match to our Summit Craftman Java cabinet series and is smoother and simpler in design than other types of crown molding. It measures 96" in length and is all hardwood. Its installed height and depth are 3" each. Additional decorative crown inserts can be applied as desired; the height where inserts can be installed is 7/8".
