Kitchen Layouts Part Two

You should also make sure to measure how much space you have to work with. You should get rid of any old kitchen cabinets you no longer want, and any appliances you might be able to ship out too and from here then measure both the remaining space and the size of the remaining items. This will let you know how much space you have to work with, and when you look at a site where you can buy kitchen cabinets online you will find that they are all listed with their dimensions and this then means that you can test what will fit and what won't and thus avoid getting your items home only to discover there's not enough room in your kitchen.

You then should get yourself a ruler, a pencil and a piece of paper and draw out some layouts using a proportionate scale so you know what can possibly fit where and how much space you have to play with. This again will help you to visualise your cabinets in place and your new kitchen shape.
